CitiSync takes your privacy seriously. Please thoroughly read through this privacy policy (the "Policy") to understand what information CitiSync Media LLC ("CitiSync") collects about you when you use CitiSync's website, citisync.com (the "Site"), and whom CitiSync may share this information with. If you find any part of this Policy unacceptable, please discontinue your use the Site immediately, as this Policy is integrated into, and subject to the Term of Service (found at http://www.citisync.com/tos.php) for the use of the Site. The use of any or all components of the services provided on the Site constitutes your consent to, acceptance of and agreement to the terms and provisions of this Policy.
CitiSync reserves the right to revise or alter this Policy at any time with no formal notice given. Any revisions or alterations to this Policy will be posted to this page, with the last updated information changed accordingly.
The types of information CitiSync collects are defined and outlined below. Please read the following information to understand how CitiSync collects and uses information from our users of the Site ("Users").
Personally Identifiable Information includes any and all data supplied by the User to the Site during the registration process or on the account page. This data may include, but is not limited to, a User's first name, last name, email address, password, zip code, phone number, address, date of birth, gender and picture. Please note, that not all of this data is required to use the Site; however, if a User opts not to provide certain Personal Identifiable Information, the User might not be eligible to participate in certain services provided on the Site. Any Personally Identifiable Information can be viewed, edited and removed by the User on the account settings page (www.citisync.com/account). Personally Identifiable Information is password-protected and encrypted to ensure the utmost security.
Personally Identifiable Information also includes the recording of a User's IP address information. IP address information may be collected and stored, to assist with displaying location specific content, enhance the User's experience and perform research and analysis aimed at improving the Site. IP address information is typically stored for no more that six (6) months from the date the information is recorded. This data may be stored for longer periods of time, up to an indefinite amount of time, if CitiSync is so ordered to do so by a United States court of law with proper jurisdiction. The retention of IP address information may be stored for longer than six (6) months without any notification to the User. This information may also be kept longer than six (6) months by CitiSync if a User is suspected of carrying out illegal, unlawful, or dangerous actions in connection with the User's use of the Site, as determined by CitiSync in its sole judgment. If a User is suspected of carrying out illegal, unlawful, or dangerous actions in connection with the User's use of the Site, the User will be notified via email about their suspect status, unless CitiSync is ordered to proceed otherwise by any legal authority.
Personally Identifiable Information will be kept confidential and will not be shared with any third parties; provided, however, that User's picture, first name, and the first initial of the User's last name will be made publicly available on the Site. The User's full last name will only be displayed to people who the User has added to the User's crew.
Users' email addresses and cell phone numbers are collected to enhance use of the Site. CitiSync requires that that an email address for each User is on file in order to use the Site, but providing a cell phone number is completely optional; however, by not providing a cell phone number, the User might not be eligible to participate in certain services provided on the Site. Both a User's email address and phone number are kept strictly confidential and cannot be viewed by other Users anywhere on the Site. A User's email address and phone number are only used to notify the User that the he or she has been invited to a specific gathering by one of the his or her friends. The User can modify his or her notification settings as well as change or remove their email address or cell phone number on the account settings page.
Public Information includes data that has been supplied by a User or collected during normal use of the Site and is displayed publicly on the Site. This data includes information provided during the creation of a Gathering, including, but not limited to, Gathering's name, date, time, location (including address) and description.
Public Information is publicly available to all Users who have the unique URL to access a specific Gathering page. Some or all of the data outlined above may be displayed publicly on a unique Gathering page. In addition, invited Users' first name, last name initial and picture may be displayed on a unique Gathering page. There is no way to search this data on the Site, so Users must receive a link by being invited to the Gathering. When creating a Gathering, the organizing User will receive a unique link that can be shared to invite other Users to attend the Gathering. It is the responsibility of the organizing User to share this link with only the people the organizing User wishes to invite. CitiSync assumes no responsibility for unauthorized access to Public Information displayed on Gathering pages.
CitiSync may also collect anonymous information about User behavior on the Site. This data may include, but is not limited to, collecting information about how many Users attend Gatherings at specific businesses. All data collected will be completely anonymous and will not be linked to any specific User accounts. CitiSync retains the right to display and share the data with third parties as CitiSync deems appropriate in their sole discretion.
Except as described in this Policy, CitiSync will not disclose a User's public, private or anonymous information to any third-party without the User's Consent. Some services provided on the Site may be co-branded and offered in conjunction with another company. If a User registers for or use such services, both CitiSync and the other company may receive information collected in conjunction with the co-branded services.
CitiSync may occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on CitiSync's behalf, such as handling the processing and delivery of mailings, providing customer support, hosting websites, or performing statistical analysis of the services provided on the Site. Those companies will be permitted to obtain only the personal User information they need to deliver the service. These companies are required to maintain the confidentiality of this information and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
CitiSync may access and/or disclose a User's personal information if CitiSync believes such action is necessary to: (a) comply with the law or legal process served on CitiSync; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of CitiSync (including the enforcement of our agreements); or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of other Users or members of the public.

Advertisers are given no special use of User's private information. If a User chooses to follow an advertisement link, the User does so at his or her own risk. CitiSync does not guarantee the safety or accuracy of any third-party site, advertisement or product. Advertisers may also have their own set of privacy and Terms of Service policies that Users should carefully review.
The Site may use "cookies" to enable the User to sign in to the Site and to help personalize the User's online experience. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on the User's hard drive by a Web page server. Cookies contain information that can later be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to the User. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to a User's computer.
The Site uses cookies to store a User's preferences and other information on the User's computer in order to save the User time by eliminating the need to repeatedly enter the same information and to display the User's personalized content and appropriate advertising on the User's later visits to the Site.
The User has the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but the User can usually modify the User's browser setting to decline cookies if the User prefers. If the User chooses to decline cookies, the User may not be able to sign in or use other interactive features of the Site that depend on cookies.
The majority of the online banner advertisements you see on the Site are displayed by CitiSync. However, CitiSync allows other companies, called third-party ad servers or ad networks, to display advertisements on the Site. Some of these ad networks may place a persistent cookie on the User's computer in order to recognize the User's computer each time they send the User an online advertisement. In this way, ad networks may compile information about where the User, or others who are using the User's computer, saw their advertisements and determine which ads are clicked on. This information allows an ad network to deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to the User. CitiSync does not have access to the cookies that may be placed by the third-party ad servers or ad networks.
CitiSync does not knowingly collect or solicit Personally Identifiable Information from or about children under thirteen (13) years of age except as permitted by law. If CitiSync discovers that it has received any information from a child under thirteen (13) years of age in violation of this Policy, CitiSync will delete that information immediately and cancel such User's account. If you have any reason to believe CitiSync has any information from or about anyone under thirteen (13) years of age, please contact CitiSync immediately at privacy@citisync.com.
In the event that CitiSync goes through a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition by another company or sale of all or substantially all of its assets, the User's information might be among the assets transferred to the acquiring company.
This Policy and the relationship between you and CitiSync shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You and CitiSync agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within the State of Florida in Alachua County.
